The tile in this piece is part of my Borealis collection, and is handmade in my studio in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. The collection is finished with a reactive glaze that fires slightly differently every time, which is one of the beauties of this collection. the holder itself is wood, and comes with the napkins.

The beautifully mottled indigo blue combines with the 24k gold edge, creating function and form with a touch of bling.

Panthera's reactive glaze means no two pieces will ever be exactly the same.  The Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, or the beauty of imperfection, radiates from this collection. The glaze creates variances, such as the size and quantity of spots, which is part of the beauty of the piece. The Panthera collection is stoneware, hand-finished with 24k gold.
