Albert Kotin 1907-1980
Albert Kotin, produced between the late 1940s and mid 1960s. Kotin studied with Hans Hofmann and was an active member of the storied Eighth Street Club, a circle of artists in lower Manhattan that included Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, and James Rosati.
The Harbor represents Kotin’s best work from the 1940’s and has been part of my father’s private collection for over 20 years.
